WELCOME TO PAWHUSKA ELEMENTARY
All of the 5th, 6th, and 7th grade participated in building kites made from 90% recycled materials, as well as one fourth grade class. Great STEM activity to engage the kids in engineering, and aerodynamics of building and flying a kite.
The 6th grade class has been learning about kites in their science class. They have created, and flown 4 different designs!
Pawhuska Elementary has teamed up with the Pawhuska Hospital to provide artwork to the hospital patient rooms. A hospital representative, Ms. Glentzer contacted the school to see if we would be interested in bringing art to the hospital. As a group, we decided to decorate the individual patient doors each month. The hospital generously donated $500 to cover the costs of art supplies. Mrs. Barnes’ 3rd grade class will decorate the doors for the month of March, Ms. Wilson’s class will decorate for the month of April, and Mrs. Brimmer’s class will decorate for the month of May. We have plans to continue this on into the next school year. Please visit the hospital and take a look at the great aspiring artist we have in Pawhuska Elementary. Pictured accepting/donating the check are: Laura Glentzer, Jon Marie Wilson, Byron Cowan, Godwin Feh, Cindy Tillman, Susan Barnes, and Kaylee Brimmer.
