Thank you for your interest in Pawhuska Junior High. Our school provides high-quality, professional educational services to 7th and 8th grade students. Students are provided the traditional academic courses along with a plentiful list of quality electives and extracurricular activities. While our students’ academic base is composed of traditional courses and motivating electives, they also find enrichment by exposure to things as unique as the Chinese language and Native American Day.

Pawhuska Junior High has made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) each of the last six school years. Over the years, our students and teachers have enjoyed much success, as our students consistently score well in many areas. It is normal for many of our students to score “Advanced” in math on the annual state-mandated Criterion Reference Test (CRT).

Each of the teachers at our school meets or exceeds the No Child Left Behind Highly Qualified Teacher status. Our teachers are veteran professionals who seek to build meaningful relationships with each student. Each day, our teachers work from the State’s Priority Academic Student Skills (P.A.S.S.) to provide valuable learning experiences.

Our goal is for our students to advance to high school confidently prepared and motivated to succeed in high school and beyond. Our team of professionals diligently strives to provide an appropriately challenging environment where each student realizes success each day.
